Our PROTECTOR reinforced polyethylene sheeting is manufactured with the benefits of the weaving process. First, we weave narrow ribbons of high-density polyethylene film into a durable cloth. Then both sides of the cloth are then extrusion coated with an impermeable layer of low-density polyethylene; black on one side white on the other or black on black. The white layer is designed to prevent heat build up and condensation beneath the cover and contains special UV inhibitors to prevent premature aging. The black layer contains carbon black which blocks light penetration and prevents damage from UV radiation. Finally, heat from the process permanently fuses the layers together resulting in these versatile materials with superior resistance to tearing, stretching and puncture.
Spec Sheets:Since its development in 1954, polypropylene (PP) has been used for everything from automotive bumpers to rope. It is a unique polymer that does not require the addition of plasticizers to be flexible. Geomembranes made of PP offer inherent qualities such as excellent UV resistance, low coefficients of expansion and concentration and exceptional lay flat characteristics. PP is also chemically compatible with most industrial effluents.
The addition of a strong polyester scrim encapsulated between two piles of PP results in what is commonly referred to as reinforced polypropylene (RPP). RPP exhibits very high physical performance, sometimes compared to products as much as three times their thickness. RPP is available in an industrial grade or ANSI/NSF-61 certified portable water grade. Both offer up to a 20-year warranty against weathering, even in exposed applications.
In the field, RPP is unmatched for ease of handling and installation. It remains flexible over broad temperature ranges, so it easily conforms to complicated contours, laying flat with only a few wrinkles. RPP is thermally welded both in our factory and on the jobsite. With its excellent seaming characteristics and very wide thermal window, RPP can be installed in relatively low ambient temperatures.
RPP is most often supplied in large prefabricated panels. The controlled environment of our plant easily allows us a high level of quality control. Due to its flexibility, we can fold and roll the material without fear of damage. For ease of handling, panels as heavy as 5000 lbs can be rolled out then unfolded.
Spec Sheets:Our DAKOTA series materials are single layer, non-reinforced membranes made of HDPE, MDPE, LLDPE and PVC resins. Polyethylene geomembranes were developed exclusively to reduce the hydraulic conductivity of earthworks and are part of one of the most sophisticated and effective impervious systems known to date. Polyethylene geomembranes are also very reliable in exposed environments due to their excellent resistance to low temperatures and brittleness, and because of their superior protection against UV degradation.Polyethylene geomembrane liners are manufactured in wide rolls and come in varying thickness ranging from 20 to 100 mil (0.5 to 2.5mm), as required by engineering design requirements.

Spec Sheets:Integra’s string reinforced polyethylene offers several advantages in different applications. With its 1000 denier polyester yarn the Integra SRP series offers excellent tear strength at the yarn and the open areas between the yarns provide outstanding elongation properties. These physical characteristics make Integra SRP the appropriate material for a wide variety of applications.
Integra string reinforced materials are manufactured using a blend of the best polyethylene resins formed into two skins. These skins act as the “bread” to the reinforced “sandwich” encapsulating a grid pattern of polyester yarn and a hot sheet of polyethylene to form a three layer product suitable for multiple applications. Once the raw goods are laminated together the mill rolls are fabricated into custom sized covers and liners. The finished panel is then rolled onto a heavy duty cardboard core and wrapped in a protective material for shipment.
